Rules and Guidelines

The AHIMA's Career Assist is a service to all members and healthcare organizations that employ HIM professionals. We ask that all users follow certain rules and be considerate of others when using Career Assist. AHIMA may revise these rules and guidelines at any time by updating this page.

Member Access
Members can create a company listing, post jobs, post their resume, search jobs, and search resumes.

Employers Access
Healthcare organizations who wish to post position openings for health information management professionals can post jobs for a fee of $300 per position.

General Rules

Career Assist should be used to post specific positions, and not for general advertisement for recruitment services or for other promotions (i.e., education, seminars, training, publications, etc.)
Job positions remain on Career Assist for 60 days. Job postings should not be repeated or duplicated during the same 60-day period.
Use proper grammar and punctuation when posting your position, for ease of reading. Do not post positions or resumes in all capitals. This is the equivalent to shouting! Use regular capitalization and punctuation.
Listings that contain any inappropriate language, are misleading, or defame or slander any individual or organization will be deleted immediately by the administrator. If these postings continue by a specific user, the user may be barred from using the Job Bank.

Terms and Conditions

AHIMA reserves the right, but does not assume any responsibility, to (1) remove from the Web site any material posted by you which AHIMA, in its sole discretion, deems inconsistent with the rules and guidelines, and/or (2) terminate your access to all or part of the Web site. However, AHIMA can neither review all material prior to transmission on the Web site nor ensure prompt action with respect to objectionable material after it is transmitted on the Web site. Accordingly, AHIMA assumes no liability for any action or inaction regarding transmissions, communications, or other content that is provided by third parties. AHIMA reserves the right to take any action it deems necessary to protect the personal safety of users of the Web site and the public; however, AHIMA has no liability or responsibility to anyone for performance or nonperformance of the activities in this paragraph.

Your failure to comply with the rules and guidelines may result in the termination of your subscription to the Web site.
