HEALTHCARE ANALYST - PLANNING
The Connecticut Hospital Association (CHA), which offers hospital data collection and reporting services to its members through its ChimeData program, seeks a Healthcare Analyst to develop an array of new analytical products using one of the most comprehensive databases of longitudinal patient encounter-level information in the country. This new position will be responsible for developing and implementing enhanced analytical products that will increase the value and utility of the ChimeData program to members and enable more effective use of hospital utilization data in CHA?s hospital advocacy efforts.

Qualified applicants should have hospital planning and/or operations experience and strong working knowledge of the healthcare industry including but not limited to hospital, physician, and pharmacy industry operations. Experience with national and state benchmarking a plus. Knowledge required in reporting and analysis, analytical techniques, and ICD-9-CM, DRG, CPT and HCPC classification schemes. Understanding of reimbursement implications for hospitals resulting from Medicare and Medicaid policy changes is helpful. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as are organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and critical thinking skills. Masters degree in analysis related field strongly desired. Position reports to the Vice President, Integrated Health Information.
