The Illinois Department of Public Health is one of the state's oldest agencies, has an annual budget of about $402 million in state and federal funds, headquarters in Springfield and Chicago, seven regional offices located around the state, three laboratories and 1,100 employees.
Company History
The Illinois Department of Public Health's Division of Epidemiologic Studies is responsible for developing and managing the Illinois Health and Hazardous Substances Registry. Currently, the registry has the following components: the Illinois State Cancer Registry, the Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes Reporting System, the Occupational Disease Registry (which further contains the Adult Blood Lead Registry, Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries and the Occupational Safety and Health Survey), and a research and data utilization section.
