P & S Surgical Hospital is a 22-bed, acute care hospital specialized in providing surgical care across multiple specialties. In our 7 procedure rooms, we perform surgical procedures ranging from restorative dentistry and ENT procedures for pediactric patients to total joint replacements in adult patients. In addition, we have a Catheterization Suite where cardiac and peripheral vascular catheterizations and interventions are performed. We perform an average of 8,000+ cases per year, about 75-80% of which are discharged the day of the procedure, while 20-25% stay at least one night in one of our beautiful patient rooms. We are half-owned by St. Francis Medical Center, while the other half is owned by physician investors. P & S Surgical Hospital takes great pride in delivering high quality health care while being efficient and while having excellent patient outcomes.
Company History
P & S Surgery Center, a small ASC with 3 procedure rooms, was established in 1986. In 2003, the ASC was transitioned into a fully licensed, acute care hospital with 10 patient beds. In 2007, a catheterization suite was added, as was an additional 12 patient beds. P & S Surgical Hospital adopted a hospital information system that includes an EHR in 2009. The employees as well as the Medical & Dental Staff work diligently to deliver high quality, efficient care with excellent patient outcomes.
