Company History
In 2007, HCA developed a business case for the HIM Shared Services Model, which would migrate all hospital HIM functions and personnel into its eight Shared Services Centers. An HIM workflow and document imaging system was also included.
In early 2011, HCA announced the launch of Parallon Business Solutions. Parallon is now responsible for all of HCA’s shared services centers and initiatives, as well as other healthcare clients who use our services to meet their needs.
Now, with HCA’s shared services initiatives falling under the Parallon Business Performance Group (BPG) umbrella, Parallon has streamlined the coder recruitment process, consolidating all of the Shared Services Centers’ processes into a single, collective process.
