The Genesis Project is an exciting and ambitious effort by the Sisters of Mercy Health System (Mercy) to transform its work processes and supporting technology across all aspects of patient care and operations. The goals of the Genesis Project are to improve the delivery of patient care and better meet other customer needs, and improve the workplace environment for our physicians and co-workers.
Mercy has selected Epic Systems as our technology vendor for clinical and revenue activities across Mercy. Among the key advantages of Epic is its ability to integrate patient information across inpatient and physician clinic sites, and to permit access to information via the Internet. We believe Epic will enhance Mercy’s ability to provide for safe, high quality care for our patients, and ensure efficient and effective information for our physicians and co-workers.
