There is a job opening for a full time radiology coding position in Lincoln.
The job description is as follows:
Requirements
Successful completion of a coding certificate program and eligibility to take a coding certification test OR experience in coding, preferably radiology coding with a coding certification or eligibility to take a coding certification test. Possession of coding certification is preferred (CRC (Certified Radiology Coder), CCS, CCS-P, CPC) but education/experience can be substituted with certification to be acquired later.
Duties
Codes ICD9 and CPT codes from radiology reports.
Checks reports for required documentation and accuracy to meeting coding and governmental guidelines.
Works with Coding Coordinator on resolving coding and reimbursement issues.
Participates in continuing education activities.
Abilities
Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
Must be able to structure work flow to meet desginated deadlines.
Must be willing to research and resolve problems to a successful resolution.
