Company Overview
University Physicians is mid-Missouri’s largest multi-specialty group. With more than 600 physicians trained in more than 80 specialties and subspecialties, our physician staff within MU Health Care's hospitals and clinics provide world-class care in mid-Missouri. MU Health Care physicians also serve as faculty members at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, teaching medical students and residents and conducting research.
The Plan’s primary functions are to:
- Provide timely and accurate charge entry, coding, billing and collection services for plan members
- Provide accurate, accessible and usable reports and information to members and School of Medicine Departments
- Negotiate fair payment rates for professional services third party payers
- Provide quality reporting for regulatory programs
